November 26th
So this is Riptide, he was adopted out through Rose's Rescue (you know, that group I started 4 years ago and got stabbed in the back for?) anyhow, I got a call last week that he had "attacked" a boy in the home after 1.5 years! The people lied several times and I have come to the conclusion that the dog had hurt his leg (I had to take him to the vet as it was clearly sore and swollen) the boy tripped over him, hitting the leg and the dog freaked and bit him...in the BACK of the head...Anyhow, he is now in Rabies quarantine per the dog bite law but he is awesome and should easily be able to be adopted to a family without young children. I cannot get him to respond to ANYTHING I do to him or by him.

Zoo Drama
At the new park!
Mariah and her cone....
Romeo and his teeth. LOL.
Mariah's foot today!
Baloopy telling me he will not make it through the night....his shoulder is going to kill him before daybreak!
Well, we have drama on all fronts right now but I will focus on the animals right now.
Ethan's tail is all healed and even has hair! Baloo was all healed up from his battle with our foster, Charlie until last night he injured his shoulder while outside. Not sure what the deal is...putting him on some anti imflamatory for a few days and see if it will heal on it's own...if not, off to the vet for him too! Mariah's foot apparently needed to be left unwrapped...after 3 weeks post surgery, I finally got to see it. I was a retard and let her take her cone off to eat (after I swore to the vet that I wouldn't! UGH) and she got to it and made it worse again...so NO more. She must wear the cone for the rest of her life...or until her foot is healed MAYBE! LOL. Dylan is doing better too. His poop is even back to normal! YAY!

Mariah
Well, Mariah went to have her foot checked for the millionth time since her surgery and they decided they wanted to KEEP her overnight! I do not handle that well. She is a dog and I cannot tell her why I abandoned her there! I asked to see her foot which ticked Staci off...big surprise. She brought her out and guess what...I don't think it looks much better than before I spent the now $700 for them to fix it....of course that will go up some more with a night at the vets' office and another wrap!
Poor Mariah!
Poor Mariah!

Nikita's Wish
Side note: Picture is of Cherry...the lovebird I was convinced I should adopt and tame. So far, I have made little progress!
So our little group has kicked butt for almost a year now. 11 months to be exact! We have adopted out 81 animals so far. 42 rats,27 dogs, 10 guinea pigs,5 rabbits,3 cats,2 ferrets and 2 birds!
Quite impressive since we really just have two primary foster homes! We have 3 other homes that have fostered 1 or 2 dogs for us but for the most part it has been just two homes.
We currently have 4 dogs, 2 cats and 1 rat....but we have 2 Greyhounds coming from Kansas this month as well as 5 rats that are being brought to us this week. I have to say I am very impressed with what our TINY group has done!

Halloween Fun and Animal Updates!
Hannah goes Trick or Treating on Grandma's street!
Class party!
The Class!
Now that we have showed the fun stuff. Mariah does have malignant melanoma. The vet removed one toe and the tumor. She got all of it and the bone is not affected yet. Her lymph nodes are still good but this kind of cancer is supposed to be a fast spreading one.
Dylan is loosing weight and starting to whine a lot. We are planning to start subq fluids with him again today. It should help him. He has had a few set backs along the way and this one is a bit different and probably a little worse but we have some other things we can do to prolong his life still but......
Barbie (Katelyn's semi feral cat) has a hot spot on her neck and of course treating her had been difficult!
I feel a little like I have been run over by a truck....a few of them actually! My dad's health is getting worse....he is sure that he is dying...and I guess, really, he is, and though I guess nobody is ever "ready" to loose their parents I just don't think it should be his time to go yet! Madison is only 6....she is too young to lose her Grandpa! I am losing two of my dogs and I REALLY need a job or they may repo my dogs before they die! UGH! Poor me! LOL. I know, I have a LOT to be thankful for and I am but....I guess I just want to whine!
