I know...my posts have been a bit like complaints lately but this IS zoo related!
Got a call this morning...you know, SUNDAY morning at 7:30...."Christine, it's Bill Brush, I adopted Roy from you. I am done with him, I don't want him anymore. I signed a contract saying I would bring him back to you and I am coming out that way today for a hockey game. Can I bring him today? We are getting ready to leave now. He has been peeing on the floor" Me-- "Did you do do a urine test?" Him--"I did every test you said we needed to do, even a stool check"....HUH? A stool check always tells us if a dog has a UTI so THAT makes PERFECT sense! He claims the vet advised them to take food AND water away at SEVEN in the evening. Whatever....any half-way intelligent vet would say that if a perfectly trained dog starts peeing on the floor that a urine test should be done. He apologized for "doing this, this close to the holiday"....I said it was no problem that he probably just had an infection and would be fine. To which he replied "I had him to the vet and had every test known to man done"....OK idiot bring him back to me now before I have to hunt you down and have ROB beat your face in! UGH!
So yes, Sunday, four days before Christmas...one day prior to starting my job....I am getting a bounce AND a Beagle from another foster home who is going out of town for the holiday. That will bring me up to FOUR foster dogs! The good news is, Rob will probably kill me and end my suffering very soon!

Job
So today I was official hired at Robinson! And about that marriage thing...don't do it! Not because it will protect from any pain but it is a waste of time and money!...I may be getting a divorce because I kind of hate Rob right now. LOL He wanted me to get a job....I wanted me to get a job but as soon as I got a job he turned into a madman! UGH! Too bad we cannot enjoy the good news like normal people! :o(
THIS IS TRUE....
If you get an email stating "THIS IS TRUE"....most likely it isn't. You know that whole, "He who excuses accuses" saying....yeah, it kind of applies here.....like "TRUST ME"....if curiosity gets the better of you and you would like to know if, in fact, it is true.... go to www.snopes.com and type in whatever it is in the search box. The name of the supposed "missing child" or the "sick baby who gets 2 cents with every foward".
I used to forward that stuff too...but now, I go to snopes and check it out before I forward that stuff. You should do it too! :o)

Marriage
So lately I have been reading about/talking to people that do not want to get married because of their parents or whoever having a bad marriage experience.
And I just don't get it....the problem with failed marriages isn't the marriage...it is the heart ache that comes when it fails. The only way to prevent that is to not ever get close to anyone. The downside to that is...never getting close to anyone. That saying, "It is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all" comes to mind. I have loved other people but clearly the love of my life is Rob and though I have not lost him....I still think it was worth the risk and if I had said no to him when he proposed and we continued the way we were and one day he decided to be a jerk-face (this has happened actually. LOL), I don't think it would have hurt any less.
People are the problem...not marriage.
I am just saying----cuz I can.

November 26th
So this is Riptide, he was adopted out through Rose's Rescue (you know, that group I started 4 years ago and got stabbed in the back for?) anyhow, I got a call last week that he had "attacked" a boy in the home after 1.5 years! The people lied several times and I have come to the conclusion that the dog had hurt his leg (I had to take him to the vet as it was clearly sore and swollen) the boy tripped over him, hitting the leg and the dog freaked and bit him...in the BACK of the head...Anyhow, he is now in Rabies quarantine per the dog bite law but he is awesome and should easily be able to be adopted to a family without young children. I cannot get him to respond to ANYTHING I do to him or by him.
Madison wanted to dress extra fancy for church Sunday.

Zoo Drama
At the new park!
Mariah and her cone....
Romeo and his teeth. LOL.
Mariah's foot today!
Baloopy telling me he will not make it through the night....his shoulder is going to kill him before daybreak!
Well, we have drama on all fronts right now but I will focus on the animals right now.
Ethan's tail is all healed and even has hair! Baloo was all healed up from his battle with our foster, Charlie until last night he injured his shoulder while outside. Not sure what the deal is...putting him on some anti imflamatory for a few days and see if it will heal on it's own...if not, off to the vet for him too! Mariah's foot apparently needed to be left unwrapped...after 3 weeks post surgery, I finally got to see it. I was a retard and let her take her cone off to eat (after I swore to the vet that I wouldn't! UGH) and she got to it and made it worse again...so NO more. She must wear the cone for the rest of her life...or until her foot is healed MAYBE! LOL. Dylan is doing better too. His poop is even back to normal! YAY!

Mariah
Well, Mariah went to have her foot checked for the millionth time since her surgery and they decided they wanted to KEEP her overnight! I do not handle that well. She is a dog and I cannot tell her why I abandoned her there! I asked to see her foot which ticked Staci off...big surprise. She brought her out and guess what...I don't think it looks much better than before I spent the now $700 for them to fix it....of course that will go up some more with a night at the vets' office and another wrap!
Poor Mariah!
Poor Mariah!

Nikita's Wish
Side note: Picture is of Cherry...the lovebird I was convinced I should adopt and tame. So far, I have made little progress!
So our little group has kicked butt for almost a year now. 11 months to be exact! We have adopted out 81 animals so far. 42 rats,27 dogs, 10 guinea pigs,5 rabbits,3 cats,2 ferrets and 2 birds!
Quite impressive since we really just have two primary foster homes! We have 3 other homes that have fostered 1 or 2 dogs for us but for the most part it has been just two homes.
We currently have 4 dogs, 2 cats and 1 rat....but we have 2 Greyhounds coming from Kansas this month as well as 5 rats that are being brought to us this week. I have to say I am very impressed with what our TINY group has done!

Halloween Fun and Animal Updates!
Hannah goes Trick or Treating on Grandma's street!
Class party!
The Class!
Now that we have showed the fun stuff. Mariah does have malignant melanoma. The vet removed one toe and the tumor. She got all of it and the bone is not affected yet. Her lymph nodes are still good but this kind of cancer is supposed to be a fast spreading one.
Dylan is loosing weight and starting to whine a lot. We are planning to start subq fluids with him again today. It should help him. He has had a few set backs along the way and this one is a bit different and probably a little worse but we have some other things we can do to prolong his life still but......
Barbie (Katelyn's semi feral cat) has a hot spot on her neck and of course treating her had been difficult!
I feel a little like I have been run over by a truck....a few of them actually! My dad's health is getting worse....he is sure that he is dying...and I guess, really, he is, and though I guess nobody is ever "ready" to loose their parents I just don't think it should be his time to go yet! Madison is only 6....she is too young to lose her Grandpa! I am losing two of my dogs and I REALLY need a job or they may repo my dogs before they die! UGH! Poor me! LOL. I know, I have a LOT to be thankful for and I am but....I guess I just want to whine!

So tomorrow is the girls' birthday party at my parents. They wanted to have a bon fire, volley ball and bocce ball. And since we do not have a yard we opted to have the party there.
I found this REALLY cool dog purse...what other kind! LOL. You can buy it at the awesome site where you can click to give money to places for free. Here is the link to the site and I will attach a photo too. http://shop.theanimalrescuesite.com/store/item.do?siteId=310&itemId=34902&origin=EPA_101708_P_34902_04

Kayla and Katelyn are officially teenagers! Their party is on the 18th but of course they had to get some of their gifts already! We went to Sunny Lake Park yesterday to have a little picnic, take a bike ride and give them there laptops(birthday gift from us).
Darcy was adopted today. Bobby Jack and Patchy Queen went to a different foster home as they were not doing so well here. We did take in a new dog today though (I know, I know...I was supposed to be taking a break but....we had a zillion apps for another Rottie mix we had so since she is a Rottie/Dobie mix and I got another call yesterday from another person looking for a Rottie I decided to take her). Her name is Girlie (she came with her name) and she is a DOLL! We adopted out two of our rats on Saturday too. YAY!

Foster's Update
Lookie my Roy! Such a sweetie!
Of course, that would be the old, I mean, anniversary couple! My girls!
Of course, that would be the old, I mean, anniversary couple! My girls!
Arroyo(or Roy) was adopted on Saturday which leaves me with NO foster dogs! So we now have, 4 rats: Lola and Hannah and Ethel and Esther. 4 cats~2 kittens and 2 adults: Bobby and Patches (adults) and Mallory and Yoshi (kittens). 1 rabbit~still not named or sexed for that matter!
My parents' anniversary party went well on Saturday! And Madison has her first school field trip tomorrow. Rob will be going with her since he can go without missing work and I am sure there won't be many trips like that in the future.
