We set up new cages for rats. The yellow bottom is for the two boys and the purple bottom is for the 6 girls.
Cherry is our red saffron Lovebird. I took her from the breeder that we got our Howie from in hopes of taming her but have been told that since she was a "breeder" bird and never tamed that the chances of that are very unlikely. She probably needs a home with another Lovebird where she can just been a "for looks" bird. The red saffron is a very rare color caused by a defect while the egg is developing. There are no health issues but it is actually a mistake for it to show up but is very pretty for sure!
This is Darcy our white faced blue violet pied Lovebird that the girls are afraid of. LOL. She needs a little extra time spent with her but is really a nice bird. We have decided to find her a new home since they are afraid of her. I know....I am a loser like all the other people that I rescue animals from!! What can I say!
This is Charlie, April (Mrs. Stanfield), Megan, Holly and Leah.
Open house photo!
Roy, our foster Greyhound.
Yoshi, foster kitten...he is a boy! LOL. And Mallory is the girly
Tortie/Calico....GORGEOUS-est kitten ever!
So I was told that I needed to update my blog....but I didn't think anyone even read it but me! And though it is nice for me to know what I am doing ....it really doesn't help me much...I am still pretty clueless!
Madison had an open house at school and her teacher took her picture...for some reason I look fat in the picture but I am sure it is just the angle of the camera! LMBO!
We would really appreciate thoughts and prayers for Madison's teacher's family for the next YEAR as her husband, Charlie is off to Egypt for a year. They have 3 little girls...I will be posting a photo and I know that Punk has had a REALLY hard time with Rob working second shift and not seeing him through the week so I can only imagine how it will be for their 3 girls...Megan, Leah, and Holly...not to mention Mrs. Stanfield essentially being a single mom of 3 while working full time too! So lots of prayers for them please.
My parents' surprise 40th anniversary party will be this Sunday now. It isn't a surprise anymore as I ended up asking my mom when she wanted to have her surprise party! LOL. But my dad didn't know it had been rescheduled until last night. It is good how we communicate so well as a family! :o/
Our Beagle/Basset foster, Stewart has finally been adopted! He has a nice family with a fenced yard(in Kent), a Beagle sister, Ruby to play with and a little human brother, Finn! Cute little guy!
The Italian Greyhounds have moved to Maryland with another Iggie, an Iggie Chihuahua and a Golden...oh and two humans...HUGE fenced yard! GREYT home!
We did have to take a Greyhound off the last haul out of September though as they just closed down The Woodlands kennel there and I just couldn't not take any....yes, I am supposed to be taking a BREAK!.....but one foster dog is better than it has been for awhile. Arroyo (we call him Roy) is doing pretty well and should be leaving for his forever home in Newark on Saturday....and FINALLY I will be foster dog less! I HOPE!!!! We still have 4 foster rats, 4 foster cats (2 kittens and 2 adults) and now a foster rabbit....The APL asked us to help them so I couldn't say no to them! LOL. BIG surprise that I cannot say no...right?? :o/
